Practice! Get Inspired!

Mrs.Bhuvana Ananth speaks her mind

I see yoga as a daily ritual where people tune deeply in to their spiritual center and experience the piece of Eternal Divinity. I was not naturally strong when I first started my yoga, every asana seemed utterly impossible, I had tight hamstrings that which I wasn’t able to place my heals in Inverted V pose, with a small mustard seed of faith I kept practising every day and got stronger. But with consistent practice you get deep connection with your body. Yoga is a path that reveals the deepest of life’s secrets, a knowledge about the Divine, a path to be known through true self-knowledge.

The attitude of gratitude is the highest Yoga!

Why am I passionate about yoga education?

My personal practice is based in the Ashtanga Yoga method. I have been dedicated to a daily, five days a-week practice for over 15years. Ashtanga literally means eight limbs and is defined by the sacred yogic text, Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras as Yama (moral codes), Niyama (self-purification and study), Asana (posture), Pranayama (breath control), Pratyahara (sense control), Dharana (concentration), Dhyana (meditation) and Samadhi (total peace). I decided to become a Yoga teacher to help others to become fit and to lead healthier lifestyle & re- discover themselves by deepening their yoga practice. Individually, I always felt love and a desire to serve, but at times I felt lost in the vastness of everything that was evolving. Yoga put the reigns in my hands, igniting a power that was always present, creating a way to connect those ever fluctuating pieces; a way to tell, feel, and a way to align. With yoga, I saw and felt how I was already connected. Without knowing it, I had been contributing all along. This was a powerful and life changing moment. I’m passionate about yoga and living a holistic lifestyle. I want to share and pass on the sense fullness and entirety it provides. I am grateful and thankful for all the support I’ve had and still have from my students, friends, family, and the community! People need people. Namaste.

One trophy is good, 2 or more is better, that way when my students decorated my institution with so many trophies and medals, it denotes the steps and the efforts they took to achieve all this, it gives a feeling of accomplishment and greater sense of responsibility to help them achieve more such success.
