Yoga For Thyroid Problem
Yoga can be a beneficial holistic approach for individuals dealing with thyroid issues, especially hypothyroidism. Incorporating specific yoga asanas (poses) and practices can help manage symptoms and promote overall well-being.

Hypothyroid Yoga Asanas
Practicing yoga poses like Sarvangasana (Shoulder Stand), Halasana (Plow Pose), Setu Bandhasana (Bridge Pose), and Matsyasana (Fish Pose) can stimulate the thyroid gland, supporting its optimal functioning. These poses focus on opening the throat region and improving blood circulation to the thyroid.
Hypothyroidism often comes with weight-related challenges. Dynamic poses such as Surya Namaskar (Sun Salutation) and Vinyasa flows can help to manage your weight. Incorporating these practices with mindfulness can contribute to weight loss and metabolic balance.
In addition to physical postures, Pranayama (breathing exercises) like Ujjayi and Nadi Shodhana can be beneficial for thyroid health. These practices enhance oxygenation and energy flow, supporting the endocrine system.
Consistency is key when incorporating yoga for thyroid management. It's essential to listen to your body, practice under guidance, and consider consulting with a healthcare professional for a personalized approach. Yoga, when combined with a healthy lifestyle and medical guidance, can be a valuable tool in promoting thyroid health and overall well-being.

Yoga is much bigger than just standing or sitting on our mat, bending and contorting ourselves into various shapes. It’s a practice designed to shake your very core and makes you to lead a disciplined life. This is the lesson which I learnt from shiva yoga centre in a short span of time. Guruji Ms Bhuvana ma’am- Her teaching comes from the heart and the higher self rather than the mind and ego. Enriched with traditional knowledge and her unique holistic approach makes ourselves connected to her teachings. To align our energies with universe, to achieve inner harmony and mental peace - I strongly recommend Shiva yoga centre to anyone who wants to take yoga for life.
